- Youth Basketball Sessions are scheduled at Holy Trinity Varsity Gym (2 - 5 PM) on the following dates: October - 26, November - 9, 16, 23, 30 and December - 21 and at Father Mercredi High School Large Gym (2 - 5 PM) on: October - 19 and December - 7.
- Matrimonial Service by Markaz: This is a service that has been designed to help single Muslims in Fort McMurray find a spouse in a Halal manner. All contact between both parties will be arranged to take place in an Islamically sound setting, regulated by Islamic rulings and guidelines. Please use the Link or App to register.

Alhamdulillah, 4 shura members (Br. Mohamed Abu Shahhada, Shk Ali Jomha, Br Abdulghani Abdo, president Mohammed Alzabidi) and Shk Ahmed Shehab visited 8 organizations and private businesses in Kuwait from Oct 19th to Oct 24th. We presented our project to all these organizations and explained to them our urgency for completing the partial finishing of the first phase of the multipurpose hall. Please make duaa that Allah opens the hearts of the people we met to contribute to our project. Of course, we could not have achieve this without the hard work of Dr. Ameen Alnabhan coordinating all our meetings and connecting with us throughout our trip. May Allah bless him and his family. Islamic Enhancement Fee
IEF (Islamic Enhancement Fee) is the fee for Islamic School payable to Markaz-ul-Islam by every FMIS parent. As you all maybe aware that Islamic Studies teachers only receive a payout as Educational Assistants by the District. With the mutual consent between Markaz and FMIS, Markaz charges IEF to disburse bonuses to Islamic Studies teachers and keep them motivated to work at FMIS. Part of the fee is used for Islamic Studies teachers training and to buy Islamic curriculum, licenses and subscriptions. IEF is a genuine form of appreciation by an FMIS parent to the teachers. We request all the parents to make the payment at the Markaz Office at your earliest.

FMIS Bus Registration 19-20
Bus Charges: $200/month
IEF: $300/year (one-time preferred)
Bus Registration has resumed on Markaz App. Please register online and expect a call back from the office in the following week. Markaz will take 3-5 business days to process bus requests starting September. To register over the phone, please call 780-791-1602 during business hours (Mon - Thu 8 AM to 3 PM) and in-office on Saturday (hour before & after Zuhur).
We encourage ideas/suggestions to improve the system and meet projected financial deficit at the end of the year. Markaz organizes General Body Meeting twice a year to provide platform to parents to voice their opinions/suggestions. Please follow Markaz App for date & time and your attendance will be highly appreciated.

Hifz School
Markaz has extended the registration for those parents who missed to include their kids to the first inakte. Please register on the link below and bring your child(ren) to the masjid to attend either:
4 PM or 5 PM class Monday to Thursday at the Masjid

Sisters Arabic Class Registration
Arabic classes for beginner and advanced students will take place every Monday and Thursday from 10 AM to 12 PM with Sister Mai and Sister Ruwaida. Make sure to choose what level you fit best in.
