Memory Lingers, Love Endures: A Service of Remembrance

Rev. Dr. Linda Barnes, Worship Leader
Sarah Dan Jones, Music Director, and Choir

We all belong to a larger family of people and beloved animals who have passed from our lives. This is our annual service of remembrance. Please bring a photo or memento to place on our alter of remembrance to those with who we've had to say good bye.

MISSION & VISION - We, at Starr King UU Fellowship, are engaging in the process of reimagining our mission and vision statements. We need you! Stay tuned as soon you will be asked to engage in a visioning session. Small groups will gather for a one-hour conversation about what is most important about being a part of our Fellowship.
Later, on Sunday, January 5th, we’ll meet all together to use our vision to produce a mission. Our Mission/Vision team consists of Jessica Dutile, Bob Gannett, Mary Hazelton, Sandy Mucci, and Rev. Linda. We’d be happy to answer questions and engage in conversation about this process. Please feel free to reach out to us.

Outdoor Cleanup for Fall!!!! Our grounds need TLC before snow flies!  Join our task force to rake, weed and cleanup! Save  Saturday morning October 26, anytime between  9 and 12 noon. Bring your favorite tools and water bottle! Children welcome!  We will provide a task list and directions! It is rumored that donuts are making an appearance!

Next Book Group Meeting November 4th at 3 PM. The book will be Universalism 101 by Richard Trudeau. This is an introduction to Universalist beliefs that many feel have been swallowed up when Unitarianism and  Universalism combined. Here is an excerpt from the Amazon description: "Universalism was different from Unitarianism. It originated among laypeople, not clergy. It drew on the experience of a less privileged social class. Its message was more radical, its scope was larger, and its taproot went deeper into the heart. This book presents all of Universalism’s distinctive ideas and make clear their relationships to each other.
Please tell anyone you think may be interested about the meeting. It should make for an interesting and informative discussion.

Lay Pastoral Care - Please contact the office.
