Every year Fall Retreat is the highlight of our startup season. Freshman we have been building relationship for 6 weeks go to the mountains with us and get changed and transformed by God. This year we took 50 of us. There were international students from South Africa and Germany, students form every race and tribe, Christians and non-Christians all who had an encounter with the risen Jesus and are now plugged into a small group as well.
We couldn’t minister to students like this without the support of so many like you. Especially those of you who gave above and beyond to sponsor students for this retreat. We had students write thank you notes to you for your support of Chi Alpha and they hopefully give you a peek into what your support does in the hearts and lives of students.
Keeping Up With the Kertsons
Peyton got a part with lines in Junie B. Jones! She was so excited. She is Bobbie Jean Piper. The shows will be November 8, 9, 15, 16. Let us know if you are in the San Diego area and want to go.
The kids had their 2 weeks of Fall break. They had lots of sleep overs with friends and outside time in the nice San Diego weather. It was fun but Kendra and I also through a low key part when they went back on Monday.
Prayer/Partnership Points
We are starting out Foundations of Faith class to help new students to Chi Alpha or Christianity learn how to read the Bible, the nature of God, etc. Pray for student to begin to deepen their faith.
Halloween is always a great time for outreach on campus. Pray for our outreaches to reach many students and empower students to reach out to friends in their own lives.
