New decade, new music: "More Than One Way" out today
Today is a birthday for many, and it is also my birthday. And as I complete three round decades, 30 rotations around the sun, I continue the ritual of releasing a song. "More Than One Way is available everywhere today. This year I challenge myself to lean into humility, gratitude, acceptance, and forgiveness.

A summary of what is below:
This is just the beginning! More music to come.

"More Than One Way" is released everywhere today, 10/25, a new single by me.

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about the importance of making mistakes, the important and possibility of redemption/reconciliation, and the importance of fighting against disposability. "More Than One Way" is a sort of other-worldly lullaby. I think the meaning of the song is ever-changing, but the core theme is "possibility."

Today, I feel the song is about a resistance against disposability, in particular resisting disposing myself, being disloyal to myself. Maybe, when I feel the need to throw myself away, I'm actually doing just fine. But if I'm not and I need to make a course correction, the option is open to me and I can take it.

"More Than One Way"
premiered by blog, Come Here Floyd, on 10/23. They write:

"The lush infatuations are calmed down with the reluctance of full on affection for the Universe that surrounds us all. Individually petulant, but never having the chance to look at the cosmos in another angel, we get to witness from the depths of our souls, that exact, shimmering lessons, in awe."

News from friends
My dear friend, Debi Kar's, story was selected as part of a literary contest and was released on October 15th, which you can read here. She also launched a newsletter. You can read an excerpt of the story here:

"The river came into view before the bridge. From Savitri's vantage point, it looked like a vast lake, stretching across far enough to contain fully inhabited islands. The islands were as green as the land on either side—palm tree forests dotted with tropical fruit trees, bushes, small concrete homes, narrow lanes winding through and connecting each island back to the mainland on the southwestern side of the river. The color of the water was an opaque teal. Through her sunglasses, the color was an even brighter and deeper shade of blue."
