Art Cards Fundraiser!

Your child should have recently brought home a card with his/her own art design drawn on the front cover.  This is part of our Art Card Fundraiser.  You can order copies of this card. Grandparents, uncles, aunts, friends, etc all love to receive them as personalized Thank You, Happy Birthday or general Happy Occasion cards.

Your child should have also brought home an order form.  Please have forms turned in by this Friday (10/25)

Van Nuys Middle School Magnet Visiting

The magnet coordinator for Van Nuys Middle School (VNMS) will be visiting Kester on October 29th, 8:15 AM, in the library.  VNMS has two magnet programs - a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) magnet and an Environmental magnet (VEA - Valley Environmental Academy).  In the past couple of years, they have brought in many new programs, including a Maker Space, drama program, elective wheel that includes programming/robotics etc. 

It is our neighborhood school and takes family feedback very seriously.  I highly encourage not only 5th grade parents but also 4th (and even 3rd if you are the type who likes to be prepared) to learn more about a great middle school option.
