Who IS taking Action on the Climate Emergency?

Some good news regarding Climate Change have been coming in recently: First, on Wednesday 25th September the Scottish Parliament voted to end Scotland's contribution to climate change by 2045 under the Climate Change Bill.

The Scottish Government will also introduce a new target to reduce emissions by 75% by 2030. More info here.

Also, by now 60% of Councils in the UK have declared a Climate Emergency, including 16 Scottish Councils.

To find out whether your Council is part of the Climate movement click here.

When do Councils want to reach net zero emissions? Find out here.

And what happens after a Climate Emergency has been declared? Cllr Tom Hayes from Oxford shares his ideas on next steps based on his local Council's experience.
