Version 3.1.0 of Flow-Xpress has been released. This version contains about 30 fixes and improvements, most notably:
Application update without restart
The following items can now be updated without the need of a complete reboot of the flow computer:
- Displays
- Reports
- Parameters
- Historical data archives
- Security (user definitions and other security settings)
- Translations
- Modbus communication
- Application file name
In case of a partial (soft) reboot, calculation and totalizing remain running uninterruptedly, while only some auxiliary processes are restarted.
Configuration of historical data archives in basic mode
Configuration of historical data archives can now also be done in Flow Xpress Basic Mode.
Improvements to the event log and alarming
The following improvements have been made to the event log and alarming:
- Logging of unsuccessful logins
- Instead of logging the creation of every single report, only printing problems are logged. This avoids the event log from being flooded with ‘report generated’ messages.
- 'Blocked' alarm status for toggling alarms, avoiding flooding of the event log with ever the same alarm messages.
