11/24 - Hard Hats for Little Heads Helmet Giveaway + Zipp E-Bikes Bike Safety Rodeo
We’re grateful to be the official host site for TMA’s Hard Hats for Little Heads! This program helps reduce brain injuries and encourage kids to exercise by giving away bicycle helmets.
Bring the little ones (and their bikes) to GOFM on Sunday, November 24 to learn more about the program, partake in the Zipp E-Bikes Bike Safety Rodeo, and the first 30 children will receive a FREE helmet!
Zipp E-Bikes will also be hosting their second Bike Safety Rodeo. Kids will learn about bike safety, practice and develop skills that will help them become better and safer bicyclists.
Thanks to UTMB’s Phi Beta Pi Medical Fraternity for rounding up all the helmets for this event.

GOFM Recipe of the Week
Garlicky Bok Choy
This Chinese cabbage can be prepared in many ways, but one of our favorites is just quickly sauteing them in garlic! A (super) quick, easy, and healthy side dish that features the fresh, crisp taste of the vegetable leaves.
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 shallot, chopped
- 1 pound baby bok choy, rinsed, cut into quarters, with core intact
- 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and shallot and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add bok choy, soy sauce, and 2 Tbsp. water and cover immediately. Cook 1 minute.
- Uncover and toss, then cover and cook until bok choy is tender at the core, about 3 more minutes.
