DUT WELCOMES NEW RETAIL LEADERSHIP CHAIR

The Durban University of Technology (DUT’s) Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Thandwa Mthembu hosted the official launch of the DUT Retail Leadership Chair on Monday, 04 November 2019, at the Coastlands Umhlanga Hotel, Durban.

Attending this prestigious launch were DUT Management, Vice-Chancellors from various universities, Chief Executive Officers from different companies in retail, W&RSeta board members and the DUT community at large.

DR RAWLINSON WAS AWARDED THE SAERA AWARD FOR THE BEST DOCTORAL DISSERTATION IN 2018

The School of Education from the Durban University of Technology (DUT) hosted the South Education Research Association (SAERA) 7th Annual Conference at the Elangeni Hotel in Durban from Wednesday 23 to 25 October 2019 which was attended by delegates from over 25 universities.

The theme of the conference was “Beyond boundaries: Exploring possibilities through research and innovation.”

BTECH FASHION STUDENTS CREATE CREATIVE, TRENDY, AESTHETIC FASHION

Eleven Durban University of Technology (DUT) Fashion and Textiles students showcased their BTech exhibition which is being held at Brickfield Campus from 5 November to 8 November 2019.

The students created their designs for the exhibition which forms part of their annual practical component, exploring issues of identity and fashion consumption and as well as producing innovative, sustainable designs through practice-based studies.

DUT’S DR VAHED AND VANKER EXCITED ABOUT NEW PROJECT CALLED RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT PORTAL (RAMS)

The Durban University of Technology’s (DUT’s) Dr Anisa Vahed and Cassim Vanker have been involved in the development of a new exciting project called the ‘Research Administration and Management Portal’ (RAMS).

According to Dr Vahed, the RAMS project emerged in response to the need of streamlining research operational processes at DUT.
