PTA Corner All Pro Dad's Meeting
Hey Dads and Kids...It's getting to be that busy time of year. Let's make sure to take a break before time gets away from us. Join us for November's Lutz Prep/Lutz Pre-Prep All Pro Dad - Dad’s and Kid’s Breakfast. This month's topic is "Contentment". Big Idea: When you think about what people want most in life, it is happiness. Even the Declaration of Independence states that we have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. But what we are really looking for is contentment. How do we help our kids find that?
Team up with other Lutz Prep dads and kids for a quick before-school breakfast. Wednesday, November 13, doors open at 7:00 AM. The program starts at 7:15 and ends at 7:45. It’s fun and it’s free. You and your kids will be glad you came! Great way to start the morning. Contact Ryan Martin with any questions.
PTA General Assembly Meeting & Appreciation Gathering Thursday, November 14th at 8:30 am
Please join us for an appreciation gathering Thursday, November 14th from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM in the Main Cafeteria while we dedicate time to appreciate our Lutz Prep supporters and families to the Bolts of Blue fundraiser efforts. Refreshments and breakfast treats will be served. Immediately following at 9:00 am, we will hold our PTA General Assembly meeting for PTA members.
Reminders: Please bring your driver’s license to enter the building. Additionally, to protect classroom learning time, parents will not be allowed to visit their child’s classroom. Thank you!
Reflections Ceremony
The National PTA Reflections program encourages students of all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Students reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. The year's theme was "Look Within".
On Friday, November 8th, Lutz Prep Reflections Participants received their awards. All of the artwork from each category will move to the county competition. Congratulations to all of our talented students!

FortifyFL: Suspicious Activity Reporting App
FortifyFL was created and funded by the 2018 Florida Legislature as part of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act. The application was named by students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The Office of Attorney General, Department of Education and Florida Department of Law Enforcement coordinated its development and roll-out.
FortifyFL is a suspicious activity reporting tool that allows you to instantly relay information to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials. It has been implemented in all public schools in the state of Florida. You will see links on the HCPS and Lutz Preparatory website. Click HERE for full details.
