Happenings Events around town

The Game Has Changed
Date: November 20th
LocationFORUM Event Center
Time: Starts at 5:30pm

We all know how fast technology changes. But, we sometimes fail to understand how fast our process needs to change to keep up. This talk is about how 21st century software development has thrown out most of the process assumptions you might have originally learned.

In this talk, Jeff Patton will explain how Product Thinking, Lean Startup Thinking, and Continuous Delivery has fundamentally changed how we design and build software.

Indy Hackers Holiday Social 2019
Date: December 7th
Location: Launch Fishers
Time: 7pm - 11pm

We're just one month out from our biggest event of the year, folks! Celebrate the year with your fellow hackers over food and drink.

Please join us — a bunch of programmers, nerds, geeks, hackers — to celebrate the year with food, drink, and friends both old and new. December 7th, 7PM, at Launch Fishers, we will gather for the annual Indy Hackers Holiday Social. We welcome everyone -- Pythonistas, Javanese, COBOLians, Scalanites. We might even have some functional programming zealots mutating their state for a few hours. The best part? It is completely free.

We're bringing back The Hackies, our awards for community members doing great work! The Hackies Awards are designed to recognize individuals in the community who are great promoters of inclusion, empowerment, and diversity. (We will open up nominations soon.)

We're all about everyone having fun. Please check out our Code of Conduct.
