TETNA residents save at Metcalfe’s in November

Two years ago, Metcalfe’s Market chose TETNA for its “Give Back” program, in which community partners benefit when shoppers shop. We received $1,000 from Metcalfe’s through the program in November 2017, and the store has welcomed us back again this November, just in time for your Thanksgiving 2019 shopping.

The idea is simple: Use our 5% discount coupon when you shop at Metcalfe’s Market, 6700 W. State St., through Nov. 30, and Metcalfe’s will donate 5% of your total back to us, up to a cumulative $1,000. And the coupon is good for EVERY time you visit Metcalfe’s in November.

Tosa East Towne Neighborhood Association is grateful to Metcalfe’s Market for choosing us as its community partner once again.

Tips for using coupon:

Trick-or-Treaters brave the rain for Halloween fun

It was the first time in recent memory that rain showers dampened TETNA’s Nighttime Trick-or-Treat, but the ghosts and goblins didn’t seem to mind. Thanks to Hue Vietnamese and Philleo Agency Insurance for sponsoring again this year. Thanks also to Nichole and Farrah for coordinating, and to all our volunteers.

You can find photos of the three winners of our home decorating contest at our Facebook page. Thanks to Fermentorium, Fish Cheeks and Cafe Blue for donating prizes.

Taste of East Tosa will be Nov. 14 at the Birch event space next to Camp Bar. We're nearly sold out, but act now and you may still be able to snag some tickets, which are $15 each for current TETNA members.

This year's lineup (so far): Café Blue, Tosa Bowl and Bun, North Ave Grill, Harwood Place/Lutheran Home, Hue Vietnamese, BelAir Cantina, Rocket Baby Bakery, Cranky's, Wauwatiki, Ono Kine Grindz, Cosmos Cafe, McDonalds, Real Good Life, Il Mito, Camp Bar, Ca'Lucchenzo, BB's on North (opening in the former Irie Zulu's former location) and Milk & Honey Liqueur.

Thanks to all our participating food purveyors!

Got an idea for a new TETNA event? Tell us about it.

Tosa East Towne Neighborhood Association is all about highlighting the best that our East Tosa neighborhood has to offer, so it's no surprise that some of the association's most fulfilling work is the events we host, from the Egg Hunt, Run Tosa Run and Rummage Sale in the spring to Trick or Treat and Taste of East Tosa in the fall.

Have you ever thought, "What this neighborhood really needs is an event like _________"? Let us hear about it. Pitch your idea to the board by emailing a concise paragraph or two to info@tosaeasttowne.org. The board will consider all suggestions, and may follow up to work with you on making your event happen.
