Safe Families for Children is proud to announce its participation in Stand Together Foundation’s Giving Together Initiative to raise awareness, inspire action and help equip and encourage our movement.

Starting now until the end of the 2019 calendar year, donations of up to $1,000 per donor will be matched for our local Milwaukee chapter.

What Happened in October?
  • We received 36 calls to our intake line. 
  • We added two new host families--Hi, McGurns & Lindners!
  • We held our first annual Reunion! https://milwaukee.safe-families.org/blog/2019/our-first-reunion/
  • We added a new Partner Church--Mt. Olive Lutheran Church!
  • We participated in Elmbrook Church's Harvestfest and The Ridge Community Church's Live Big.
  • We began forming our Parent Advisory Committee for the parents who have been through Safe Families to contribute their experiences, advice, and feedback to guide our direction as a chapter. If you would like to recommend a parent who has had a host family or a family friendship, email staff.

Resource Needs
We have three host family supply closets: Imago Dei (Milwaukee), BCRC (Brookfield), Oakwood (Hartland). Please click the links if you'd like to make a donation to one of these closets.
We need:  Girls size 7 and 8 winter clothes and pajamas
Always looking for: Wal-Mart gift cards (for our host families to buy formula, shoes, etc), Car seats (in good condition, purchased less than 3 years ago), diapers/ pull ups, and wipes.
