From the Swellbox

  • The Earth's population is expected to reach 10 billion people by 2050. The consequences will be catastrophic. Professor Stephen Emmott presents an eye-opening look into the future of our planet and this unprecedented emergency caused by climate change and overpopulation. Long (1hr 40min) but vitally important viewing for us all.
  • The Lady Organist magazine for organists: Morwenna, AKAK the Lady Organist, writes stimulating, wide-ranging, lively and helpful blog about organs and organists. Pay a visit and enjoy a ramble through her posts - you'll be glad you did.
  • Fascinating1967 footage of interview with Marcel Dupré in his home at Meudon. (In French but turning on the automatic caption will help clarity). The organ was built in 1899 by Cavaillé-Coll and the next recital on it is by Pierre Grandmaison on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 17:30
  • A delightful short animated French movie Rubato by the CGBros. A lonely street musician meets a stray dog...
  • And now for a REALLY short film. What would fruit sound like if you could hear it? Maybe this?
Time to iron the cats. Who, incidentally, are happily sunbathing in the garage roof on a 27 degree day. This is their idea of helping with the housework.
Chirps,
Jenny
