Hello,

Jesper on behalf of the LiU Game Jam organizer group here. It is finally time for the game jam week! First up is a Godot workshop fueled by food from Falaffelhuset! That is followed by a Unity workshop and lastly Fall Game Jam itself. If you are going to attend please mark yourself on the events so we can plan the events better.

Another great piece of news is that (some of) the participants can send in their games to LiU Game Awards and compete for 20 000 kr to finish the game! You apply by sending in a 30-60 second video showcasing the game, I can personally recommend Open Broadcaster Software for this. Restriction is that at least 50% of the team must be connected to LiU (student or employee), read more on the linked page. Make sure to send in the game during Sunday as this is the last day.
Submit your game to LiU Game Awards 2019

LiU Game Jam Fall 2019

8th - 10th November
CreActive, Mjärdevi

A game jam is an event where programmers, artists and gamers come together and create games; both computer games and board games.

What do you do during a game jam?
1. We start by generating a random theme from audience input.
2. We sit down in groups and discuss game ideas from that theme.
3. Pitch game ideas and form groups with other participants. Our goal is to make sure everyone finds a group to work with and encourage people to work with people they do not know yet.
4. Develop a game!
5. We showcase and play each other games.

Everybody is welcome, students and non-students alike. No previous experience is needed and the event is free of charge.
