WOBO'S SLOW OAKLAND CAMPAIGN

Being a cyclist or pedestrian is more dangerous now than it's been in years: in 2018 cyclist deaths rose by 6.3% from the previous year and pedestrian deaths by 3.4%.*  A major contributing factor is speeding automobiles.  WOBO is addressing this by launching the Slow Oakland campaign, asking residents to take a pledge to drive slower in The Town.

Look for a special edition of this newsletter focused on the Slow Oakland campaign later this month. In the meantime, go here for more information.  And please consider helping out by taking the pledge!
