Please join us for our first annual Everett Program Student Project Showcase. We are so excited to celebrate our undergraduate researchers and all of their accomplishments.
In the past year we had 43 students and fellows complete a total of 14 different projects, both of which are the largest in the program’s history.
Projects included:
- Developing an educational StoryMap about the problems of gerrymandering and opportunities for redistricting in California’s Central Valley, in partnership with the Dolores Huerta Foundation.
- Providing social media and infographic design training for members of the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, in support of their campaign to protect their sacred land Juristac from a proposed gravel quarry.
- Designing an interactive StoryMap highlighting the work of partners of EcoFemme, a women-led social enterprise in India addressing health and gender rights around issues of menstruation and access to sustainable, washable sanitary pads for girls.
- And more!
The event will be taking place at Namaste Lounge on the UC Santa Cruz Campus on December 7th from 3:30 - 6:00 PM. Light food and refreshments will be served in the beginning, along with time to mingle and meet the Everett Fellows and Students.
We are so excited for our first ever Student Project Showcase and cannot wait to share it with you!
