If not, you can get your bearings with the Make' Guide  giving you the story behind the world's first urban National Park  or check out the calendar of events. You can also order a green map of London for display. Outdoor Classroom Day takes place on 7 November and then in May 2020.
Sign up for Outdoor Classroom Day
Outdoor Classroom Day is a global campaign celebrating outdoor learning and play. Last year, 20,000 schools worldwide took more lessons outside and made more time for playtime. However, even though the campaign started life here in London, only 7% of schools in the capital took part. We want to change that! The next Outdoor Classroom Day is on 7 November (there are two dates every year, one for each hemisphere). It’s free to take part and registration only takes a couple of minutes.

Get a free flower meadow in the mail...
Now’s the perfect time for planting a spread of native wildflowers to enjoy in the Spring. If you register for Outdoor Classroom Day this week, you can get a free bag of Oddball wildflowers from one of the campaign partners, Seedball. Each bag contains approximately 300 seed-filled Oddballs, enough to grow a meadow 15m x 18m. There's also a free Seedball lesson plan available for download on the resources section of the Outdoor Classroom Day website.

Let's have more outdoor learning in schools!
Trees for Cities breathe new life into urban neighbourhoods
...or get a free forest from the Mayor!
A key aim of the London National Park City is to make unloved patches of green biodiverse and wildlife-friendly, through rewilding and planting schemes. You can get free Community Tree Packs from the Mayor of London and TCV in time for National Tree Week 23 November – 1 December, just follow this link. Trees for Life and the Woodland Trust are also offering 30 – 420 free trees to green up your playground or make a mini forest school. Visit the Trees for Cities website for info; successful applicants will receive their trees by March 2020.
