PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Hi Team,
The memo was late this week for really good reasons, however I have mentioned timelines and processes and apologise for the delay.
Thanks
The students behaviour and respect displayed on Friday at the  Remembrance Day Assembly was outstanding. I know Perisse also really appreciated the support from staff who helped setting up and Katie who prepared the choir so well. Our whole school was on show for the community and rose to the occasion.
2020
The School Board will be confirming School Development Days for 2020. A survey will be sent out to staff to vote of Trading off a maximum of two of the 6 days. The possible trade off days will be added to the June Long Weekend( May 29th)and  Friday (21st August)  in Week 5 of third term ( based on feedback).
Sarah K will again act as Returning Officer to ensure I am not stacking the vote.
PM/ Line Manager
Check in with your Line Manager as the final tick in the PM process, which is a very brief opportunity to give feedback and discuss 2020. There is an expectation that staff have a record of PL and staff meetings attended. There is a section in the Year Level Plans that can be used, however many staff may prefer the TRB Log of even using their calendars. The self reflection is against the AITSL standards are also at the discretion of staff with a variety of proformas in the PM Google Drive file.
I don’t believe it is about the documentation, it is about the conversations and the ownership of staff. This being said it is a professional requirement and staff will need to keep the documentation.
I am very happy to discuss the requirements at Hub Meetings.
Battle of the Bumps
I know I speak for the staff in wishing Larissa as she takes leave at the end of the week to commence the nesting process. She taps out and Elishia taps back in for the  I would like to also acknowledge the work of both Mel B and Estelle in ensuring the class has not missed a beat. Estelle will be continuing her role to ensure continuity and Mel will return to her role which has been ably back filled by Marie.  Thanks, Dale
EOI - EXTRA DUTIES POSITION FOR 2020
Due to staffing reductions in the leadership team we are keen to continue to support staff in extra leadership opportunities. We are seeking a lead teacher role (resourced with release time) to continue with the SAER, SEN planning, case management, behavior management etc. (Aligns with Learning Environment Operational Plan) in our early years (Kindy – Year 2). Please submit a half page statement expressing your interest and skills that would make you a candidate for consideration by end of Week 5 (Friday 15 November).
Thanks, Lorena

THANK YOU!
To all you wonderful staff members of MHPS we would like to thank you for the beautiful flowers that we received.
It has been a sad time mourning the death of my step-daddy 'Michael'. It was shocking, without warning and is very confronting seeing him going through something we have no control over. We all travelled to Brisbane and the Gold Coast to send him off in style and he would have been very happy and proud! He was a compassionate man, patient, kind and never stopped working towards his dreams.
Thank you for all your kind words and great hugs.
Our sincere thanks Mel and the Lewis-Russell family
