Emma's tribute to Ancient Graffiti

There's a Luas stop in Dublin where Graffiti has become art thanks to the Royal Irish Academy who commissioned local artist and trained tattoo artist Emma Ray to create an artwork to mark an important event in Irish history.
The 3D sculpture artwork which is a tribute to Irish mathematician William Rowan Hamilton's discovery of a mathematical formula to a problem he was working on at the time.  He then carved his formula at Broom Bridge in Dublin.
'It is difficult to experience it fully in daylight,' added Emma after the launch last week. 'In the evening, you can see the footsteps of two people lit up. One set stops, which are meant to represent William's wife. But his continue on to the point where he inscribed the formula on the side of the bridge.'
'I'm really proud to be associated with what will be a permanent tribute to this incredible achievement.'
