Note from Dr. Cannon
November 11, 2019
Dear Breton Downs Families,
At our Breton Downs Veterans Day Assembly today, we had over forty veterans join us on this special day. It was important for the Breton Downs staff, students, and PTO to recognize the sacrifices these veterans have made for our country. A big thank you to the PTO for sponsoring the coffee reception and to Mrs. Mills and our 4th and 5th grade choir for providing a private concert to our veterans. The pictures below show our assembly and reception. To view the slideshow from our assembly, please click here.
Winter Gear Helpful Hints
-
Please write your child’s name on everything!
-
Have a separate bag for snow gear to prevent items in the backpack from getting wet.
-
Send items to school every day until the Spring. The weather changes throughout the day.
-
Remind your child(ren) to check the lost and found frequently for missing items.
World Kindness Day- Wednesday, November 13
While we encourage our students to spread kindness each day, Wednesday, November 13 is World Kindness Day. At Breton Downs we will be celebrating the day by reading the book We’re All Wonders and discussing how we can make the world a kinder place. All students will have the opportunity to spread a little kindness in the world by filling out and giving a compliment card to a classmate.
Breton’s Got Talent- Friday, November 15
On Friday, November 15 at 6:30 p.m. our Breton Downs PTO is sponsoring a Breton’s Got Talent in the gym. Parents and students please come and enjoy a fun-filled, family night. Water will be available for $1.00. Door #12 will open at 6:00 p.m.
