BEING A CONSCIOUS CONSUMER
Ever heard of CCR?  Now is your chance to hear about it....not the music group but something even better: Conscious Consumer Reduction!  This is a timely presentation in light of so much recent attention to the issues of Climate change and our responsibility as global citizens as well as stewards of God's creation.

Connor Truman, who happens to be the wife of our new bishop Jason Zinko, will be presenting at 7pm Tuesday November 19th at St Mark's.  She will be talking about leading a simpler lifestyle, the changes she has made in her life and suggestions of how we might all be more conscious of our consumer choices.  Please come and join us for a thought provoking evening.
Refreshments afterwards!

It’s that time of year again when St. Mark’s Social Ministry Committee starts organizing our church’s sponsorship of Christmas Cheer Board hampers to help those in need. We will be collecting monetary donations and non-perishable food items Sunday, November 10th, through Sunday December 1st. If you are able to help out with food items, just take a card or two from the Angel Tree in the church hall, purchase the items listed on the card and place the items under the tree by December 8th. Please also return the cards to the little sleigh under the Angel tree so that they can be reused. For monetary donations, you may use the Christmas Hamper envelopes that are in the pews or simply mark your own envelope with the amount to be donated to Christmas hampers.
If you can help with shopping for gifts (and wrapping), buying fresh produce, collecting boxes or assembly of the hampers, please email Jennifer Moroz at: j.moroz@jennifermoroz.com or add your name to the sign-up sheet in the church hall.
