Here’s what’s happening in New York City.

Let me just start by giving my biggest congratulations to everyone who spent their Sunday crushing the NYC Marathon! I spent my Sunday at a bachelorette party in Austin and, sadly, missed all the festivities — but hey, there’s always next year! Whether you’re looking to refuel after the big race or find a workout sans running, I’ve got all the info you need below.

🥗 Switching It Up
Midtown East’s new Sweetgreen is a little bit different than its sister shops. Informally called “Sweetgreen 3.0”, this new experimental location is nixing the salad assembly line and replacing it with “concierge ordering”, which is basically employees standing at wooden podiums to take your order on a tablet. After your order is sent to the kitchen and prepared, your name will appear on the screen for pick-up. For those who tire of trying to yell their desired amount of dressing over the noise of the lunch rush, this might just be your saving grace.

🛶 Whose House?
Whether you’ve rowed before or not, every New Yorker who’s brave enough to hit the ergs at Row House for their full-body rowing workout will keep coming back for more. If you’re in Brooklyn, you no longer have to hop the East River for your sweaty row — Row House just swung its doors open in Boerum Hill. What’s more? A Williamsburg location is coming soon. See you in the studio.

🥊 Jab, Cross, KO Club
If you love boxing and you’ve been to 20+ Shadowbox classes, the city’s reigning boxing studio has a new challenge for you. Dubbed “KO Club”, their new advanced class will be an hour long, and it will mix circuit training with their beloved Jab Cross Hooks. The first KO Club class will take place November 9 at 4:15pm at their Flatiron studio — sign up now before the class (undoubtedly) sells out!

🏓 Pickleball Is Poppin’ Off
We love a good pick-up football game, but when it comes to social sports, there’s one in particular that we can’t stop playing. We’re talking about pickleball, and if you haven’t tried it already, you’re missing out. It takes everything you love about tennis, badminton, and ping pong and combines it into one highly-competitive, adrenaline-fueled matchup. So, after you get hooked up with gear from GAMMA Sports, rally the crew and find the nearest court — we’ve got a feeling this is about to become your go-to weekend activity.

🥛 On Trend
The oat milk craze continues. With almost every coffee and juice shop in NYC already pouring out their own oat milk concoctions, Pressed Juicery is taking it one step further and selling 1.5-liter oat milks (plain or vanilla) to take home. Don’t want to lug the jug 30 blocks back to your apartment? Just order it online; Pressed Juicery will ship your batch straight to your door.

😯 Oops, They Did It Again
Rumble can't stop, won't stop. It was Rumble Training last week, Rumble Brooklyn before that, and now, Rumble Tribeca is taking center stage. Rumble just keeps on growing here in NYC, and now it’s that much easier for all you downtown worker bees to snag a bag on your way to or from the office. You just have to wait one more week — the new Tribeca studio opens November 14!

🚧 In Other News
If you’ve ever taken the tram to Roosevelt Island in search of an adventure away from the bustle of Manhattan but ended up on a virtually empty plot of land with a Starbucks and some scattered residential buildings, you are not alone. However, the masterminds behind Hudson Yards are working on giving the poor representation of an island paradise a makeover. The firm is building up the Riverwalk and adding entertainment in the form of a speakeasy, bistro, pub, events space, and more. There’s no set date yet on when the project will be done, but keep checking back — one day, the $2.25 tram ride may be worth it!

As you may remember, a few months back, we gave a shout to @andi_dorfman for signing up for the New York City Marathon. Well, she has spent the summer training and inspiring others to do the same with her hashtag #andorfins, took on race day fully prepared, and completely crushed it. Congrats on your first 26.2, Andi!
