South Niagara Hospital Site Update

In preparation for the new South Niagara Hospital, Niagara Health recently undertook a successful Natural Heritage Assessment on the site.  The assessment allows for the approval of renewable energy development on the site by the Ontario Government.

Last week, boreholes were constructed as part of a geotechnical and hydrogeological study of the site. The boreholes will provide insight into the water, gases and temperature measurement on the site or any underground storage of unwanted substances.

Be sure to follow Niagara Health on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on the progress of the South Niagara Hospital Site.

Residential Water Meter Replacement Program

The City is replacing all residential water meters throughout Niagara Falls. Technicians are currently in the first replacement area in the City, identified on this map. Residents within this area can expect to receive their unique reference number in the coming weeks if they have not received it already. This unique reference number will allow you to book an appointment that suites your schedule.

The Residential Water Meter Replacement program will ensure the continued accuracy of customers' water bills and improve reading efficiencies. Neptune Technology Group has been contracted by the City to upgrade all residential water meters over the next two years, neigbourhood by neighbourhood.
