Save the Date for Holiday Fun!

The holiday season is fast approaching, Lowry! Mark your calendar for a fun and festive event right here in the neighborhood. The Lowry Foundation is holding a holiday event at the Eisenhower Chapel on Saturday, December 7, from 2:00-5:00 pm. This is a free event with no RSVP required. There will be snacks, crafts, music, and pictures with Santa available! Stop on by and enjoy a holiday break with your neighbors.

Are you overwhelmed by leaves? Don't put them in the trash! Compost your leaves through the City's free LeafDrop program. This is the last week and weekend of the program, so don't miss out! You can bring your leaves in plastic trash bags, but the City prefers them in compostable paper bags to make the whole process more streamlined. Get a coupon here for five free 30-gallon paper leaf bags from Ace Hardware.

November Recycling at Montclair Rec Center

Lowry Recyclers are collecting toiletries of all kinds from new to little hotel individual ones, combs, toothpaste, and half-filled conditioners this month at the Montclair Rec Center (8th and Ulster). Clean out under the sink, tidy up the linen storage area where you have stored extra products--there are dozens of shelters that need your soaps, nail files, whatever you have. There is a collection area inside the front door at the Rec Center. Lowry Recyclers will happily collect and pass them out to needed sites. Want to help pass them out? Questions? Email Sallyk@ecentral.com

Each year, the Spreading Wings Gala celebrates a significant contributor, or contributors, to the national aerospace scene. This year Wings Over the Rockies’ is thrilled to honor Captain “Sully” Sullenberger, the world-renowned pilot, safety expert, author and Captain during the “Miracle on the Hudson”.

Join Wings Over the Rockies for a spectacular evening of storytelling, food, drink and fundraising as it honors Captain Sullenberger and propels the aerospace industry forward.

Get your copy of Captain Sullenberger's book, "Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters," at the museum store now through December.

Snow Removal in Lowry
We've already had a few snows this season--please remember your neighbors and get your shoveling done as soon as you can. It's an HOA rule as well as City policy to remove the snow on your sidewalk promptly. The HOA guidelines can be found here.
