The agenda for the next CAD meeting, which is on Friday 22 November, is available online. Please confirm your attendance again with Rhonda as soon as possible. 
 
Faculty Complement proposals were originally due 28 November. I have decided to extend the deadline to 3 December (with no prejudice). The document will be distributed separate by email. Please submit your proposals to ovpd@utsc.utoronto.ca.
 

An Academic HR Staff Support Group at UTSC is a new forum for Chair's Assistants to participate and discuss academic HR processes. The next meeting is scheduled for 12 December, 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. We encourage your staff to attend these meetings and connect with Eileen Egan-Lee about any questions.

Those engaged in the evaluation of teaching effectiveness for tenure, continuing status, and promotion reviews are encouraged to register for The Assessment of Teaching, a discussion-based lunch-and-learn on 13 December. This workshop is offered in conjunction with the Office of the Vice-Provost, Faculty & Academic Life.

Please mark your calendar for the next Faculty & Librarian Social which will be held on 28 January, 3:00 - 5:00 pm in the Ralph Campbell Lounge. This event is hosted by MEAD (Mentoring Excellence and Diversity) and Beverages Services. Register online.

The Office of the Vice-Provost, Faculty & Academic Life is hosting a Retirement Information Session on 30 April for UTSC faculty considering retirement in the next few years. Registration is required (a hot breakfast will be served). Please share with your faculty and contact Eileen Egan-Lee with any questions.

Course Information System

Faculty are encouraged to upload their December final examinations to their Departments via the Course Information Systems (CIS)The system facilitates the administrative process for printing final exams in an efficient way. The Office of the Registrar will be circulating additional information regarding exam submissions in the coming weeks.

Revised Academic Handbook Now Available
The revised Academic Handbook has been posted to the Dean's website. The Handbook is an important resource for all faculty and staff as it provides essential information about University academic policies, as well as the policies and practices that pertain to UTSC.

University Governance Elections Information Sessions
UTSC Faculty who are interested in actively participating in University governance are invited to attend one of two upcoming Information Sessions that outline the elections process for serving on the UTSC Campus Council and its Standing Committees.  
  • Thursday, November 28th at 10:00 a.m. in room AA160
  • Tuesday, December 3rd at 3:00 p.m. in room BV575
Please RSVP and indicate which session you will attend and to receive more information about available positions. Nominations will open on 7 January 2020 at 12:00 noon and close on 17 January 2020 at 5:00 pm. Learn more about the UTSC Campus Council and its Standing Committees online.
