Between Memorial Day (honoring those who died in service) and Veterans Day (honoring the service of all U.S. military veterans living and deceased), there is a photo that is often shared: a picture of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the honored, guarded, and respected resting place of an unidentified soldier.

Brother-Sister Leader Duo Elected

Executive Committee recently elected two new directors for Washington Conference - and they are siblings!

Jose Jerez was elected to serve as Planned Giving director and replaces Matthew Gilkey. He previously served the department as an associate, and has previous experience in the insurance industry. Our Planned Giving team - Jose Jerez, Rita Gruesbeck and Carol Craig - are ready to serve your estate planning and long-term gift needs.

Elida Jerez was elected to serve as Health Ministries director in addition to her responsibilities supporting the Ministerial department. She has served in this role on an interim basis and is significantly growing the profile of Health Ministries in western Washington. She holds a master's degree in health. Elida and her husband, Diego, are active in a church plant in Bremerton.

Both siblings are passionate about ministry and growing God's kingdom! We look forward to seeing how God will lead in these new roles!
Send Congrats to Jose
Send Congrats to Elida

NOV. 16 OFFERING OPPORTUNITY

Local Church Ministries

There is nothing in this world more wonderful than working for Jesus! This can be done vicariously, sustaining other workers with your prayers, offerings, and words of encouragement. But even more wonderful is to become a soul-winner yourself. Whatever your individual personality and gifts, there's one gift we all can share: a smile! This Sabbath, smile and interact with someone you don't know or don't know well. Make a new friend!

Let us faithfully give our tithes and offerings but let us also give of ourselves!
