Weekly News
Dear friends,
This Sunday we will celebrate The Solmenity of All Saints.
In every generation there have been men and women who have been remarkable in faith. From the apostles and early martyrs of the Church to the great teachers and religious. But it is not just the famous 'official' saints that we celebrate but also those who have led hidden and humble lives, who have been so transparent to God's love that they have literally shone in the world and changed those around them. At All Saints we celebrate the lives of the Holy ones of God and ask for their prayers. There is also a Parish at Lunch at St Paul's from 12.30pm, please come and join us.
On the 13th November at 4.30pm Messy Church will have the theme of All Saints with our annual bonfire night at St Paul's. Click here for more details.
But November is also the month of the dead. On Tuesday 5th November we will commemorate All Souls with a Requiem Mass. The Fauré Requiem will be sung by a stunning choir. The names of our departed loved ones will be read out. Please see Jack if you would like a name added to the list. This is one of the most moving services of the year, so please come and invite others. Click here for more details.
See you on Sunday!
Fr James
