There are hardly any nutrients in the food we eat Interview with Greg Shewmaker, co-founder of TeakOrigin
Topic: We know less about the food we eat today than at any other time in history. A deep dive into nutrient density of food and how it is becoming possible to assess it on the spot (e.g. if your apple is full of nutrients or just a sugar bomb).
My thoughts:
Probably the most explosive and shocking interview I have recorded so far. We know so little about our food and nutrients and this interview made it very clear. I would love to see more research into healthy soils, healthy produce, healthy gut systems and healthy people and I'm happy to follow Greg as they are researching this in the near future!
Scaling Herenboeren in the Netherlands and expanding to France and Sweden! Interview with Geert van der Veer, co-founder of Herenboeren
Topic: Checking in with Geert on how Herenboeren, a movement to build community owned regenerative farms in Europe, is growing in the Netherlands and soon France and Sweden. Plus discussed the new farmland investment fund Geert is working on. It will give investors the opportunity to put money to work by investing in a fund that buys land and leases it to Herenboeren through out The Netherlands.
My thoughts: Wow! They made so much progress in two years and it seems to be scaling up even quicker! So important to get local 'energy' to be involved in their food system and even more interesting (for this podcast) that there will be ways to put money to work soon as well. Congrats Geert!
