Members & volunteers of the Tompkins County Democratic Committee are diligent voters. We know in our bones that democracies like ours demand the active participation of all citizens. Not everyone is as familiar with the mechanics of voting. This election, New York State also has inaugurated early voting which is new to all of us.  Keep the following information in mind and share with your neighbors and friends.

 

Early voting ends Sunday, November 3rd!

Thursday, 10/31/19     12 pm - 8 pm
Friday,11/1/19    7 am - 3 pm
Saturday,11/2/19    9 am - 2 pm
Sunday, 11/3/19    9 am - 2 pm

Tuesday, November 5th is Election Day!

The polls are open 6am to 9pm. To find a polling place go the BOE - Where to Vote Page.

Some local races are contested, but every Tompkins County voter will chose from the many candidates running for two State Supreme Court Justice slots. All voters can cast three votes. However, only two Democrats – Pete Charnetsky and Claudette Newman – are on the ballot. By voting only for them, you take away a vote from a Republican and help their prospects immensely.

One important follow up note: The NY Democratic Lawyers Council will be conducting a review of the early voting process, please consider filling out their survey.
