And just like that, it’s November. We’ve been talking a lot about access and equity at Boston School Finder, and how to make information—and access to it—more equitable for all families. 

Take for example, BPS School Preview season, which kicks off this month. How can we get these important dates and times to families in a way that makes sense for them? Check out our newest resource: our Boston School Registration Calendar, where families can see School Preview dates in calendar form.

We have a whole host of other great resources we’ve recently added, such as our School Enrollment Online Toolkit. (Take a look if you haven’t yet. We’ll be adding even more resources in the coming weeks.) You can also help us spread the word to Boston families by joining us as a Parent Ambassador this year. If you think you or someone you know would be a good fit for the role, check out our job description here and apply by Nov. 15.

In addition to our work helping to prepare families for school registration, we’ve been advancing our advocacy work. Earlier this week, I had the privilege of participating in a panel discussion following the presentation of Boston City Council President Andrea Cambpell’s report, Action for Boston Children. Along with Dr. Brenda Cassellius, BPS Superintendent, I was joined by Amy O’Leary from Education for All and Paul Reville, former MA Secretary of Education.
