Getty Fire Impacts Mount Saint Mary's University
In the early morning of October 28, Mount Saint Mary's students were evacuated from the Chalon campuses. Some of the Sisters of St. Joseph, at the Motherhouse next door, were also evacuated and others sheltered in place. All members of both communities are safe. As of the publishing of this newsletter, the Evacuation orders have been lifted. Chalon Campus remains closed.  For updated information, please visit the Mount Saint Mary's website. Many national outlets have been covering the fire.  Read articles from Los Angeles Daily NewsAmerica Media and Global Sisters Report, by clicking the links.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mount Saint Mary's University, Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Los Angeles, their neighbors, and all of the emergency personel during this challenging time.
