Caring and Sharing

David Carver's procedure went well but he will be in the hospital for a few days. Please continue prayers for him and Mary.

As always, keep those at Tablerock Village: Lyleann Frank and Virginia Fogerson in your prayers for their continued well-being. They also appreciate hearing from their church friends. Also keep Blanche Masek, who is on hospice care, in your prayers as well.

We received a thank-you note:
Thank you to our dear friends at St. Andrew for helping us with the Blessing of the Animals and fundreaiser for the Humane Society of the Tri-Lakes Area.
Not only did we bless around 35 animals, but we filled the shelter van with much needed supplies thanks to your help!

From Your Friends at St. Mark's

The Worship Committee has a new way for us all to help with worship services.  Instead of signing up to be usher the 1st Sunday of each month for the whole year, you can sign up to be usher for each Sunday of a chosen month.  For instance, you can sign up to be usher for the month of June if you know you'll be in town that month.

We are a small congregation.  We will need folks to sign up for multiple months.  Be as generous as you can - think of all the stars you'll have in your heavenly crown!!
We are celebrating Celtic Heritage this Sunday at 11 am. You don't want to miss the special happenings.
Wear your tartan and come to hear Blake play his bagpipes and John play his bodran.
It will be a memorable worship service.

Invite all your relatives and friends, and even your enemies.
Come and enjoy all things Celtic !!!
Time and Talent/Loaf and Ladle
Time & Talent/Loaf & Ladle is coming up on Stewardship Sunday, November 10, after worship.
Sign up sheets for soup and desserts are on the bulletin board in the hallway. Bring your items for the silent auction to the church between 1 and 4pm on Saturday, November 9. It's probably best to bring in your baked goods for the live auction on Sunday morning.
Soup and Scripture with Pastor Dixie
Pastor Dixie will be leading an Advent study group on Sundays after church during December. The first one will be on Sunday, December 3 and the final one on the 22nd. No book will need to be purchased!

Thanksgiving Dinner
Susie Patrick has kindly offered to take on the job of coordinating the Thanksgiving Dinner, but she could use some help. Please contact her if you can help with this vital ministry.
Donuts with Dixie
Beginning on Monday November 4th, come have Donuts with Dixie at the church at 9am.  Not exactly a Bible Study, not just a fellowship hour, but a time to enjoy each other's company and ask questions that perhaps have been on your mind for a while.  No guaranteed answers, but a promise to give any and every topic appropriate consideration!
