For your inspiration and joy, St John's Cathedral community has invited musicians from The Stairwell Project team to perform a selection of works from our weekly repertoire played at the Royal Brisbane & Women's and St Vincent's Hospitals.
The morning tea and concert are free, and our first CD by Stairwell team member, Dr Michael Knopf [Guitar] will be available for sale on the day.
Curated by Dr Knopf, the program is a heartwarming offering of classical, Impressionist and new music for flute, harp, guitar, hand pan, vocals and piano.
For this concert I've developed some musical gems I've often improvised upon at RBWH into a pair of new solo piano pieces, titled Theia of many names, and A Hundred Measures.
I hope life conspires to allow you to share in the redolent acoustic of St John's with us.
