November is #YoungsterMonth

In November, the Frankie Manning Foundation celebrates #YoungsterMonth. This is a time for us to turn our eyes towards the future of lindy hop; children & youth, or as Frankie called them, youngsters.

While we are continuing to raise much needed funds for Norma Miller's headstone, we also welcome donations towards youngster programming.

When you make a donation, you can choose what program(s) you want to support. Follow the options to choose how you want your donation to be used.

You can choose your level in increments of $5, $10, etc and you may also choose to make a larger donation and split it into three instalments.

Youth Initiative

The future of lindy hop rests with today’s school age children. Many lindy hoppers believe that those children’s lives, both now and in the future, can be enriched and strengthened through learning the lindy hop.

There are a few wonderful programs where children are learning to dance the lindy hop. Some of these children have the opportunity to meet and compete in a Youth Program at the annual International Lindy Hop Competitions in Washington DC in August with the support of the Frankie Manning Foundation. At events like ILHC, the kids are inspired by the adult champions; they, in turn, inspire everyone present.

ILHC & Norma 100

This year ILHC is going all out, transforming the ballroom into the Savoy including signage to the streets, backdrops, and more to celebrate Norma Miller's birthday. As always, youth programming will also be a very important part of the event. The event will also celebrate Norma Miller's 100th birthday on December 2nd!

Norma Miller 100 in Italy

Norma Miller 100 is a three days event focused on Norma Miller. Everything, from workshops to live music, panels to videos, and choreos to pictures, will be in her honor.
