Last Call! Final 2019 Volunteer Days

Just a few short weeks remain in our 2019 volunteer field season! Please come out and help us put a bow on some of our projects before winter sets in.

Coming up are some November workdays in Palmer Park and a season-ending tool maintenance session. Expect chillier temps, perhaps a little snow and/or mud, but just as much fun, rewarding work, and comradery as usual. Do bring some waterproof attire if you have it. We will run any last workdays that we can and hope to see you there! Please visit our calendar for the latest dates. Don't miss out, volunteer today!

Miss You Already, Jay Minton.

RMFI bids farewell to Jay Minton, Program Manager and master of the mustache, who is heading back to the midwest to be closer to family and loved ones. Jay served as Program Manager for nearly 2 years, overseeing our trail and restoration projects coordinated with each of our land management agency partners during his time with us. He brought a wealth of experience and endless enthusiasm to the job, and provided important mentorship and leadership to our seasonal project staff. We wish Jay nothing but the best in his future career endeavors.

See You at Trails End Taproom!

RMFI is thrilled to be partnering with Trails End Taproom, and two other great nonprofits - Energy Resource Center and Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates - during the entire 2019 Indy Give! campaign! Trails End will be donating a portion of all sales throughout the months of November-December to our three nonprofits.
This weekend on Saturday, November 9, pop in for the Trails End 2nd Birthday Bash! More fun Give! events to follow!

Front Range BBQ Art Market: Nov. 18

On November 18 from 5-8pm, Front Range Barbeque will host their 2019 Fall Art Market & Beer Pairing event! Live music by DJ Nate Starr. Food & beer pairings with Goat Patch Brewing, Red Leg Brewing and Front Range BBQ. Arts and crafts for purchase, all handmade by local artists. This year's suggested $20 donation will be donated to support RMFI!

RMFI Given Mountain Hardwear/GOA Optimist Grant

RMFI recently received a $5,000 grant from Mountain Hardwear and the Grassroots Outdoor Alliance to support its stewardship work in Indian Creek in 2020. In addition to financial support, the grant also included a generous donation of Mountain Hardwear gear and product. RMFI has been a long-time user of Mountain Hardwear equipment, and sincerely appreciates the company’s continued support!

Join Us November 21 for the RMFI Party of the Year!

RMFI at Colorado Trails Symposium

On October 10th, RMFI teamed up with the City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services (CSPRCS) in presenting at the 2nd annual Colorado Trails Symposium in Boulder, Colorado! By highlighting the outstanding relationship between RMFI and CSPRCS, the presentation showcased the advantages of government land management agencies partnering with local nonprofits to better build communities invested in public land stewardship.
