Emergency Closings
Many things are taken into consideration when deciding to delay school, cancel school, or close early. We do not always automatically follow Roncalli or other South Deanery schools. Often times delays and cancellations can make things more difficult on our parents, so we try to avoid this unless there are circumstances of extreme danger. Once the decision has been made, it will be posted as such:

Veteran's Day Mass
St. Jude will be celebrating Veteran’s Day with a special Mass on Wednesday, November 13th, at 8:30 a.m. in the church. All military personnel are invited to attend, including those who have served in the past and those who are currently serving.

Halloween
Thank you for all of the donations for St. Vincent de Paul! Because of you, we were able to collect over 2,000 cans of fruit/jars of jelly. The volunteers at St. V's are overwhelmed by your support.
The staff worked hard to win the costume contest! The junior high teachers collected the most cans as a group and were dressed as Disney Villains! A close 2nd place were the 5th and 6th grade teachers dressed as referees. Mrs. Tesdahl was the winner as an individual dressed as Kung Fu Panda. Fun was had by all!

Got Candy?
St. Jude Girl Scout Troop 1860 will be collecting leftover Halloween candy for HVAF of Indiana November 4-8 . HVAF helps at risk or homeless veterans find employment, housing, and food. Collection boxes will be available beginning November 4th near the school office.
In addition to your excess Halloween candy, HVAF is in need of warm weather clothing (hats, gloves, socks, blankets...) and nonperishable food. Anyone interested in donating these items as well may deposit them in the collection boxes will be near the office for candy and other items. Please help us support our veterans.

CYO Volleyball
Boys and Girls CYO volleyball registration is now open. Volleyball is open to boys and girls in 4th through 8th grade. Volleyball registration will close November 22nd.
Volleyball tryouts for boys teams will be Friday, November 22nd and Sunday, November 24th.
Volleyball tryouts for girls teams will be Friday, December 6th and Sunday, December 8th.

Scrip Holiday Gift Cards
Did you know you can raise money for St. Jude and your child’s tuition without spending any extra money? The Scrip program allows you to do this by purchasing gift cards which you can use to buy groceries, gasoline, food, clothing, and much more. You can also purchase the gift cards for Christmas, teacher or coaches gifts. The gift cards have rebates ranging from 3% to 25%. Scrip users can choose how they divide their rebates among the PTO, Tuition Assistance, Social Justice, their child’s tuition or cash back. Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS) Meet and Retreat
Please join the St. Jude Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS) for a morning of prayer, friendship and reflection. We will have a light spread of breakfast foods, mimosas and more!
This is a casual dress event for all past MOMS participants and anyone curious about this program or just needing a morning retreat! There will be an opportunity to sign up for the 2020 MOMS sessions which begin in January.

Singin' in the Rain
Roncalli presents "Singin' In the Rain." Show dates and times are November 14th at 7 PM, November 15th at 6 PM, November 16th at 2 PM and 7 PM.
Tickets for the upcoming musical are now available. They can be purchased at roncalli.booktix.com. Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for Roncalli students and children 14 years old and younger. Remember to print off your tickets and bring them with you to the show. Tickets will be scanned at the entrance to the auditorium. Roncalli Spirit Store Annaul Holiday Sale
The Roncalli Spirit Store will hold its annual Holiday Sale on Saturday, November 9, 2019, in the Roncalli cafeteria from 9 AM to 1 PM. Rebel Wrestling Foundation
Registration for elementary and middle school club wrestling is now open. You can sign up for RWF wrestling club at any time throughout the year. The youth wrestling season will start November 5, with practices at Roncalli on Tuesday & Thursday (Beginners 6:00 PM - 6:45 PM, Advanced 6:45 PM - 8:00 PM), and we have a full club competition schedule. RWF club wrestling meshes well with our south deanery CYO wrestling schedule. Roncalli High School Placement Test
Roncalli is excited to host the Class of 2024 for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) on Saturday, November 9! Additional details are below:

Test begins at 8:00 AM; students should arrive by 7:45 and enter through Door #5 (Auditorium).
There is no pre-registration for this test.
There is a $10 fee to cover the cost of the test; the student should bring this with them to the test (Cash or check payable to Roncalli High School).
Calculators are not allowed (Unless stated on an IEP/ISP).
Student should bring two #2 pencils.
Results will be mailed home by the end of November.

Parents are also strongly encouraged to attend an Admissions Information meeting on the morning of the HSPT from 10:00 – 11:15 AM in the Roncalli Auditorium.
