GGD Newsletter For November 1, 2019

After working huge amounts of overtime over the past month, we have come to three conclusions. First, a nice end of the year paycheck boost can do wonders for your budget. Second, spending loads of extra hours at work can be life draining (our desire for financial independence has been invigorated to a new heights). Third, if you spend all your time at work you'll end up neglecting other things. Namely, a certain personal finance/environmental awareness blog...

This month, due to limited time outside of work (and maybe a bit of laziness...), we were unable get any of our semi-finished articles (there are many) into a complete enough state that it could be posted. Our lack of financial independence strikes again!

Full disclosure, we also did a bit of pre-holiday traveling. With our already limited time, that didn't help much, but it sure was fun!

Monthly Financial Update (Full Breakdown):
All of the above being said, the march toward our goal never stops! We made some large portfolio gains this month, to the tune of a 4.10% increase in net worth. This brings us to 63.6% of our retirement number! We are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
