Give to the Max Day For Upper Mississippi Academy

Join us in supporting Upper Mississippi Academy on Thursday, November 14, 2019 for Give to the Max Day, when thousands of Minnesotans will join forces and donate to their favorite nonprofits and schools.  Early donations are encouraged and being accepted as of yesterday, November 1st, 2019 through GiveMN.org and will count toward Give to the Max Day incentives and day totals.

What will my donation to UMA’s Give to the Max support?  

Students have spoken and we have heard!  Students are speaking up and advocating for several new after school clubs and programs.  Students want to “go beyond” existing clubs and are asking to create and plan new ones. Clubs created so far this year include hiking and a cappella. These join ongoing clubs of Theatre, Dungeons & Dragons, Gaming and more.  Other clubs desired to date include ones that build on the themes of music and physical health.

YOUR DONATION will go 100% toward funding unbudgeted expenses of existing and new clubs that students want, and specifically go toward costs such as:  supplies, equipment, supervision, and, in a limited number of clubs, staffing. As importantly, your donation will enhance the student engagement opportunities at UMA by supporting students in creating, designing, and collaborating with their peers and teaching staff to offer new clubs.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Please give generously to support UMA’s after school clubs and programs with any size gift.  ALL gifts make a difference in supporting the mission of UMA in learning opportunities during as well as after school.  Year-round giving is also an option if you can chip in a little bit more.  If you want your donation to go further, you have the option of paying the administrative fee for the transaction.
