November Events
Carolyn hosted a Welcome Friendsgiving for refugees and asylum seekers in Maine at Gateway Community Services on Thanksgiving Day AND was a special guest of NBC and Miss America during the SAME MORNING at the 93rd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Carolyn's Miss America Send-off was a great success and wonderful celebration with her friends and family, as well as her Miss Maine Scholarship Program family. Carolyn and Jane participated in Portland's Give Love, Get More Holiday Party at Springer's Jewelers to support Coats & Toys for Kids.

The success of the Miss Maine Organization is due to the dedication and involvement of our volunteers and supporters and we truly cannot be more thankful for our them all. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or sponsor a fundraising event, please email ExecDirector@missmaine.org.

A graduate from the University of New England with a bachelor degree in Health Science, she is currently working at Unum in Portland, Maine in the Long Term Care department.

“The Miss Maine’s Outstanding Teen program is about opportunities and growth. Using my own personal experience, I want to help young women gain the skills and confidence to find and use their voice, be involved within the community, as well as be relatable.“ - Kelsey Earley, Miss Maine 2015

Welcome, Kelsey. We are so glad to have you with us and thank you for giving back to our beloved organization!

Our NEW Producers
Lindsey and Jeremy Gervais are bringing their 15 years of stage production experience to the Miss Maine team to create and direct our competition on June 27, 2020!

Dr. Lindsey Gervais competed for Miss Maine’s Outstanding Teen (2005/2006) and Miss Maine (2008/2009) among other titles. She served as Miss Connecticut Collegiate 2011 when she and Jeremy moved to the Nutmeg State for graduate school. She holds a PhD in Educational Psychology and is the lead pedagogical designer for one of the largest educational publishing and technology companies in the world and has been recognized as a top speaker in Women in Tech. Along with producing the show this year, Lindsey will also help to build the Scholarship and Education initiatives for the Miss Maine titleholders.

Jeremy Gervais is an English and Drama teacher at Glastonbury HS in CT. His drama program was recognized as “What’s Right in Schools” in Connecticut, and he holds an M.A in Curriculum & Instruction. Jeremy will contribute his production skills, with his wife Lindsey, to elevate the Miss Maine competition to a new level!

Welcome Lindsey and Jeremy! Thank you for coming back to share your expertise with us.
