"Wrighting" the Next Chapter
Tre Wright and Ketera McKenzie began attending the Auburn Tuskegee Christian Church in the summer of 2011.  That summer was epic in ATCC history.  Three interns from North River came down and, together with ATCC disciples, went crazy on campus.  Actually, they went crazy in prayer, because they realized that inviting tons of people without it wasn't effective.

Tre and Ketera were fruits of that effort.  They were both students at Auburn University.  Tre was baptized first, on June 23.  Ketera was baptized a month later, on July 28.

They quickly became active, integral parts of the ATCC campus ministry.  During their time at AU, they were in the thick of things, going to every campus event and devotional, studying the Bible with people and baptizing them.

They began dating.

They graduated, Tre, with a degree in aerospace engineering, and Ketera, with a degree in chemical engineering.

Tre and Ketera married in the summer of 2014, and their wedding was a joy-filled church-wide celebration.

Then, they chose to stay in the area and share our dream of growing the ATCC. They settled in Montgomery, and have worked in many ways over the past five years to build the house church there.

As time went by, they were blessed with two beautiful daughters.

If the church is described as a body, they were very much an arm of it. Tre led songs and preached at times.  They spent time with the Wiregrass House Church.  They became a part of the ATCC leadership group.  They helped dating couples.

And now it's time for Tre and Ketera's next chapter of serving God. They have decided to move to Huntsville. Tre has already begun to work at Lockheed Martin there, and they're rented a house, which will be their residence, starting next week. They love our sister church there, and feel that God has called on them to use their spiritual knowledge to help the Greater Huntsville Church in the same way that they helped the ATCC for many years.

While we will miss Tre and Ketera, we feel profoundly thankful to have had them as a part of our story for the past eight years.  To a great extent, they shaped who we are.  The stamp of their faithfulness, of Tre's bold, passionate and humorous personality, and Ketera's sweet giving spirit will remain.

This Sunday will be Tre and Ketera's last official Sunday at the ATCC.  Tre will preach, and there will be a time of sharing immediately following the service.
Can you contribute new stocking hats and socks?  For our Christmas service project, we are collecting warm hats and socks for the 50 residents of the Magnolia Haven Nursing Home in Tuskegee.  As the elderly are prone to get chilled in the winter, the management of Magnolia Haven says that these items will be the most needed and appreciated gifts.  Bring your contributions any Sunday, and give them to Kenonia Battle.
