October's Local Government Meetings
Meetings are open to the public and held at the Municipal Building, 2 West Main St.
Environmental Commission News
Recognition Plaque Installed - A plaque was dedicated to recognize the work of Ralph Rhodes and Sara Dean Link, who served on the Environmental Commission for 50 years. They both worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure there was a balance in the township between development and the environment. They created many of the miles of trails we take for granted today. The plaque was installed on a stone at Meadowood Park, located on Old Mill Road, near the trail head for the Meadowood loop. Download a trail map and visit the new commemorative marker.
Police Updates
Going Away this Month? - Don't forget to let the Police Department know, so the officers can check on your property while you are away. The police will let you know, if any issues arise, and you can travel with greater peace of mind.

Safety Drills - If you notice a police presence at the schools during certain evenings this month, please do not be alarmed! It's simply the police conducting some response training to ensure they stay sharp!

Don't Blow it Off! - Remember: Please do not blow leaves onto or across a public road. It is a violation of local ordinances.  If you must, please do it quickly and thoroughly. Clean it up! This has presented some real issues for the police and Department of Public Works in the past!

Get Your Police Cards - Please encourage younger children to ask any police officer for their baseball cards! Once your children collect them all, let the police know, and they can be entered into a raffle to win special prizes, including a possible police ice cream or pizza social!
