TCV Weekly News: 7 November 2019

Kia ora koutou

To start this weeks newsletter, I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Alice Kibble and I am your new TCV Coordinator. Many of you may know me already through my local volunteering or from being a candidate in the recent Local Body elections.

I am 18 years old originally from England but call Gisborne my home. I have been volunteering since I was six years old and have a passion for helping my community. I am looking forward to my new role and meeting you all at the AGM.

I am making some improvements to the website over the next couple weeks and adding in a Member organisations page to display our full members. I will be including a logo and a small 2 sentence blurb of what the organisation is. If you would like a specific blurb please send it to me asap and I will include it.

Please note the TCV AGM is on the 11 November in the Council Chambers. Starting promptly at 12.30 with the presentation of the Nan Evans Award.  We are still accepting nominations for the Executive Committee but please do get these into us before the AGM .

Ngā mihi nui
Alice Kibble (Coordinator)

A message from Erina
Tena koutou katoa
My name is Erina Hurihanganui and I am a Community Engagement advisor at Trust Tairawhiti formerly known as Eastland Community Trust (ECT).

I would like to connect to organisations and people that are providing budget advisory services in the region- to talk to the Trust about what types of issues our communities and families are facing in terms of financial hardship, management and wellbeing.

We hope that by getting budget advisory services together- there will be insights and ideas that will contribute to the development of our regional wellbeing framework which will inform all the Trust's investment decisions as well as guide what impact measurement might look like.
