FALL HIGHLIGHTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS   
  • 🥂Capitol Chapter's November Social will take place at 6 P.M. on Thursday, November 21st at Dirty Habit. 
        
 
  • 🎅Did you receive your invite to our annual Holiday Party? Our Chaplain, Sharon Whitehouse, will be hosting at her home on Saturday, December 14th from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Please respond in the comment section of the Paperless Post with the item or dish you plan on bringing.

  • 🌲Join the Project Patriot and National Defense Committees, along with Marine volunteers, on Sunday December 8th at 9:30 A.M. at Congressional Cemetery as we lay holiday sprays on the graves of members of the military and other esteemed Americans interred there.   • 🎄 Save the Date: National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will host an Open House with festive decor and special guest Old Saint Nick on Wednesday, December 11th! This event is perfect for the whole family.

  • 🍪Join the Project Patriot Committee as we decorate cookies for Marines who will be on-duty at the Barracks on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day - Wednesday, December 18th at 6 P.M. (arrive when you can). RSVP to Rachel Hicks, hicksre1@gmail.com
 
  • 👢🎶 Pull on your boots and plaid for the Country Current social at the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH) on Friday, January 10th from 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. (arrive when you can). We'll be serving drinks and snacks and dancing to the live music of the County Current band with the residents! RSVP to Rachel Hicks, hicksre1@gmail.com, if you want to join!

  • 🍫💝 Chocolate Lover's Unite! Capitol Chapter is excited for our annual Chocolate Lover's Party at the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH) on Tuesday, February 25th from 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. (arrive when you can). We'll be serving choclate treats and dancing with the residents decked in festive red and pink! RSVP to Rachel Hicks if you want to join, hicksre1@gmail.com.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Mizell Koppes and Michael Koppes on the recent nuptials! 

Caroline Briley Whitehouse married Blakely Cottrell Tyler on October 5 at Washington National Cathedral.  The newlyweds reside in Boston.
Congratulations Lorraine Barclay Nordlinger on being named DC Power Player by Modern Luxury magazine for the role she plays guiding individuals to achieve their financial goals when buying or selling their homes!
Capitol Daughters had a fabulous time hearing from guest speaker, Rachel Normal of the DCDAR State Co-Coordinator of the DAR Members Course at the September meeting!
Capitol Daughters and guest speaker, Rebecca Roberts at October chapter meeting. Rebecca is the author of the book Suffragists in Washington DC: The 1913 Parade and The Right to Vote. 
Capitol Chapter Daughters were excited to welcome and swear in Mikayla Bouchard during the October Meeting!
