In the midst of rainy season, dry ground is impossible to find.  Mud is literally everywhere.  Dirty is just the way of life. Our feet are literally stained dirty.

I was challenged this week by the question , “ if this was your last day on earth , how would you spend it?”  Most of us would plan to enjoy our favorite pastimes or eat our favorite treats. We’d enjoy “ me time”. But the statement went on to say,
           “Jesus washed people’s feet”.

Servants hearts. Sacrificing to meet the needs of others. Doing the lowly dirty work. That is the role model.

Washing Feet is our calling. For us here in PNG just as the never ending mud right now, so are the never ending needs. Person after person. Problem after problem. Need upon need upon need.

One day this week I came home from clinic with a heart so heavy and filled with so many hurts. I had washed foot after foot , so to say, all day. Yet the dirt , like my feet, is hard to really make a difference when cleaning.

One three year old girl came. She had a history of seizures since 2 months of age. She had been to clinics and even hospitalized for status epilepticus ( continued relentless seizures) yet she had NEVER been given medicine to stop them.

I called the local Pediatrician to ask why she is not being treated. She said she was not sure but START!!  For the first time she can be seizure free with consistent treatment. Her mom was so very relieved. BUT ITS TOO LATE to prevent brain damage. This sweet angelic baby girl is already severely delayed in her development.
Washing feet but still impossible stains. 😞.

Another  set of twins. They were hidden away all day in bilum bags. It was around 4 pm when they took them out for vital signs. Immediate panic as we found them with raging fevers , massive shortness of breath and struggling to breathe!!  One had a blood oxygen of 84%. Not good. The other was 61%. Oh man!!!  Really NOT GOOD!!  One transport oxygen tank so we had to choose. We thankfully got both babies to the hospital but how long their oxygen levels were needlessly low???  What damage will remain??  😔. Dirty stained feet we tried to wash.

An infant at the hospital covered in scabies and  resulting infection died as we were there. I had just a few more bottles of scabies lotion left but too late for her tiny feet to be washed 😞

Dehydrated diarrhea patients. Shaking patients with high malaria fevers and chills. Pneumonia patients coughing so hard they sounded like their lungs would be coughed OUT. Cancer diagnosis. Hiv infections.

FOOT AFTER FOOT. NEED AFTER NEED. Each one tenderly held and loved on. Each one prayed over. Trusting God to bless our medicine and loving care given. Pleading for God to provide more medicine for the needs that would be lined up the next day.....an endless line.

Yet Jesus did not hesitate. He spent His last day on this, a most important work, of serving others with need.

As I write this I’m bouncing two sweet babies who need a mommy’s love. They need love....and diapers and bottles.... all day and all night. Washing feet😊.

We had the opportunity to love on and care for a sweet teen boy whose mommy is dying from cancer. He graduated this week with both mom and dad there. They took him home and my heart is missing my boy. Washing feet with tears.

I had the opportunity to reach out to Sefu. James and Matthews mom. She has run away from the Lord that loved her and saved her. She has a big need. Once again pregnant and very mad about it, she came seeking abortion. She found a loving embrace and a promise of help for adoption if she chooses life for her precious little one. I told her she could be the answer to a desperate moms plea for a child.

We plan to somehow get into Kapagu this week. Sorcery has them held tightly in Satans grip. Fear. Fighting and murdering each other. Many dirty feet needing to be washed. The blood of Jesus can cleanse away each stain!!!

Pray for our need of dry days this week so we can get into Kapagu.

Pray for Sonofito and Lek ( Graces parents) and David( Safas daddy) to be saved. We have had opportunities with many at the hospital as we visit Sonofito. Her audible Bible plays for the whole ward all day😁

Pray for the physical and emotional strength and finances needed to wash feet all day, day after day. We have seen salvation decisions weekly as we labor in love. The investment has amazing and eternal dividends.

Pray for Gbbc. God is literally exploding our ministry. God is moving and literally changing the entire physical and ministry landscape of our College. Pray for provision to keep up with the pace of His blessings and opportunities. ( link to the video?). Pray for our students in their week of final exams!!!  I know one teacher happy to be done with 7 am Psychology class😁... it was making us crazy😂

Pray for our outreach of offering Educational Psychology modular class to the community of teachers in our area. We have a guest lecturer from the USA coming. This may have the potential of reaching many for Christ. If teachers get saved the classrooms will be impacted.

Servant hearts. Sacrifices made. Thanks for joining us as the Hands of Jesus washing feet for His glory. Your part in prayer and support is changing lives.

No restraint. No retreat. No regrets. Fearless. Faithful ,

Bill Lori  the boys. Baby Grace and Dad.
