ART AUCTION PROJECT VOLUNTEERS
CLASSES WHO STILL NEED 1-2 VOLUNTEERS
Thanks to all of the parents who volunteered to lead the Spring Art Auction art project! We still need 1-2 volunteers from the following classrooms (Conner, Polik, Wong, Soccorsy, Swartzman, Ulmer), and we are hoping to find them ASAP. Some parents with multiple children have volunteered to lead for multiple classes, and we're okay with that! If you have any interest in helping out, with the full support of the Art Auction committee, please email Cheryl Brenner.

PARENT'S NIGHT OUT
Family Black Belt Academy is hosting a Parent's Night Out for Lawton students on Saturday, December 14th from 4 - 8:00 p.m. ALL money goes directly to the PTA to support the IslandWood camping experience for next year's Lawton 5th graders.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
Parent's Night Out begins with free time in which the kids can build forts and engage socially with each other. Next is 20-30 minutes of Martial Arts drills followed by 20-30 minutes of games such as obstacle courses, karate ball, lava tag, and loads of other physical activities. Halfway through the evening, they serve Domani pizza! At the very end of the night, they finish with an epic Nerf gun battle. Students should dress in lightweight, comfortable clothing.

COST?
  • $65 per student/$55 for any siblings
  • Must be paid for by Friday, December 6th. Family Black Belt Academy does not receive any money from this event, so checks must be made out to Lawton PTA with "parent night out" written in the memo and turned in to the Dropbox outside the staff lounge in the Lawton lobby.
  • Pizza is included in the price of the event.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
At this time, only current K-5 Lawton students may attend. Family Black Belt Academy's formal classes are all mixed ages, so they are accustomed to a variety of age groups within each class.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?
The studio needs a minimum of 10 students to participate in order to host the event. Please sign-up ASAP. If you have any questions, please reply to this email.
