This week's Thanksgiving recipe ideas!
Ingredients
12 ounces fresh cranberries (weight)
1 tablespoon orange zest (Loosely Packed)
1/2 cup orange juice (Freshly Squeezed)
Pick through the cranberries and discard any that look shriveled or mushy. Rinse the remaining cranberries well, then place them in a heavy bottomed saucepan with the sugar, orange zest, orange juice, and cinnamon stick. Give it a stir, then place the pan over medium heat. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 15 minutes, stirring the mixture every 5 minutes to ensure the bottom doesn't burn.
After 15 minutes, the cranberries should all be popped. Remove the pan from the heat, and remove the lid. The sauce will look very liquidy, but as it cools, the sauce will thicken up significantly. After the sauce has cooled completely, you may add additional water if you desire a thinner texture. Remove the cinnamon stick and serve the cranberry sauce at room temperature or chilled. Enjoy!
Cranberry sauce can be made 2–3 days ahead of time before serving.

- 3 sweet potatoes (large, peeled and diced into 1 inch cubes) INCLUDED IN BOX
- 2 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup

Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly coat a baking pan with non-stick cooking spray, or line with parchment paper. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt and pepper. Add potatoes and toss to coat.

Spread potatoes in an even layer onto prepared pan. Roast for 30-35 minutes, or until browned and crispy.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Serve immediately.

with Sweet Potato
A half-recipe of your favorite pie crust All-Butter, Really Flaky Pie Dough
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger INCLUDED IN Thanksgiving Add-on BOX
1/4 cup maple syrup
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup SWEET POTATOES – INCLUDED IN FULL BOX
1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 large eggs plus 2 large egg yolks
1 cup whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon table salt
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.Roll out dough and unroll into pie plate. Bake 15 to 20 more minutes until crust is golden brown and crisp. Remove plate and baking sheet from oven.
Make the filling: While pie shell is baking, whisk cream, milk, eggs, yolks and vanilla together in medium bowl. Combine pumpkin puree, yams, sugar, maple syrup, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in large heavy-bottomed saucepan; bring to simmer, 5 to 7 minutes. Continue to simmer pumpkin mixture, stirring constantly and mashing SWEET POTATOES against sides of pot, until thick and shiny, 10 to 15 minutes.Remove pan from heat. Whisk in cream mixture slowly, until fully incorporated. Strain mixture through fine-mesh strainer set over medium bowl, using back of ladle or spatula to press solids through strainer. Re-whisk mixture and transfer to warm pre-baked pie shell. Return pie plate with baking sheet to oven and bake pie for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 degrees. Continue baking until edges are set (instant-read thermometer inserted in center registers 175 degrees), 20 to 35 minutes longer. Transfer pie to wire rack and cool to room temperature, 2 to 3 hours. (The pie finishes cooking with resident heat; to ensure the filling sets, cool it at room temperature and not in the refrigerator.)

Easy Oven Roasted Potatoes
– A simple side dish for Thanksgiving

Recipe off box of Lipton Onion Soup Mix.
- 2 pounds potatoes INCLUDED IN FULL BOX
- 1 package Lipton Onion Soup Mix OR DIY MAKE-YOUR-OWN -- SEE NOTES.*
- 1/4 cup of oil, you can use olive or coconut oil
- 1 red bell pepper chopped – optional
- 1 medium sized onion chopped – optional
*NOTES: Make your own DIY Onion Soup Mix:
- 3/4 cup minced onions (dried, onion flakes; found in the spice aisle)
- 1/3 cup beef bouillon powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon celery seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
Instructions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Cube potatoes into small bite sized pieces, place potatoes into a gallon sized ziplock bag, pour oil over potatoes, and mix well. Add in optional ingredients if you like. Sprinkle in dry onion soup mix, and shake the back so the soup mix coats the potatoes Place potatoes into a 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Bake for approximately 40 minutes.

Homemade Apple Butter (No Sugar Added) Apples & Spices only
Organic apples INCLUDED IN FULL SHARES.
Makes 16-20 ounces
Ingredients:
1-3 lbs. apples INCLUDED IN FULL BOX
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 cup water
Directions:
-
Core and chop the apples and place them in the bowl of your slow cooker. Add in the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and water then cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or until the apples are tender enough to fall apart with mashed with a fork.

To make applesauce, use an immersion blender to puree the cooked apples. (If you chose to peel your apples, you can just use a fork or potato masher to break down the apples.) You could stop here, and enjoy this delicious spiced applesauce, but you’ll need to keep cooking it down to create apple butter.

Loosely cover the pot with the lid, leaving a vent for steam to escape, and set the slow cooker to cook for another 6 to 8 hours on low, or until the applesauce has reduced by nearly half. Alternatively, you could heat the applesauce on high 45 minutes, then reduce the heat to low to quicken the process, but be sure to not leave it on high too long, or you’ll risk burning the apples on the bottom.

Once the apple butter is nice and thick, transfer it to a glass jar and store it in the fridge for up to two weeks. (You can also freeze any extra for a longer shelf life!) Serve the apple butter over your favorite toast, pancakes, meats, salads, or simply enjoy it by the spoonful!
Recipe Notes
*Since you have to leave the pot slightly uncovered while cooking, you may want to place some towels around your slow cooker to catch any splattering.
Notes:
- If you don’t have a slow cooker, feel free to make apple butter over a stove top– just make sure to keep the heat low and stir often to prevent burning.

A galette is a rustic, free-form tart that is cooked on a baking sheet rather than in a tart pan. It can be prepared with a variety of seasonal fruits.
Thanksgiving Galette with Apples OR Cranberries
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbs. sugar
16 Tbs. (2 sticks) cold unsalted butter, cut into
1/2-inch pieces
1/3 to 1/2 cup ice water
For the filling:
- 2 lb. apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/4-inch slices OR cranberries INCLUDED IN FULL Thanksgiving Add-On BOX
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 Tbs. cornstarch
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
Directions:
To make the dough, put the flour, salt and sugar in a bowl. Put the butter in another bowl and place both bowls in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Transfer the flour mixture to a food processor and pulse about 5 times to blend. Add the butter and pulse 15 to 20 times, until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Add 1/3 cup of the water and pulse twice. Squeeze the dough with your fingers; it should hold together but should not be sticky. If it is crumbly, add more water 1 Tbs. at a time, pulsing twice after each addition. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface, gather into a ball and flatten into a disk. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Place a baking sheet on the bottom rack of an oven. Position another rack in the lower third of the oven and preheat to 400°F. Line a second baking sheet with a Silpat nonstick liner and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
To make the filling, in a large bowl, stir together the apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and cornstarch. Set aside.
R emove the dough from the refrigerator and let stand for 5 minutes. Place the dough between 2 sheets of lightly floured waxed paper and roll out into a 12-inch round. Brush off the excess flour. Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.Arrange the apple filling in the center of the dough, mounding the fruit slightly and leaving a 2-inch border. Gently fold the edges of the dough over the apples, pleating loosely. Brush the dough with the beaten egg. Lightly sprinkle sugar over the apples.Bake until the crust is golden and the apples are tender, about 1 hour. Transfer the pan to a wire rack and let the galette cool completely, about 1 hour.Just before serving, in a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the jam. Brush the apples with the jam and let cool. Cut the galette into 8 slices and serve.

A nutrient-rich, healthy quick bread made with shredded carrots, apples, bananas, whole grain & almond flours, with a walnut oat topping.
Ingredients
Bread:
- 1 ¼ cups oat, whole wheat pastry, whole wheat or all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup almond flour
- 1 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp. ground nutmeg
- ¾ tsp. baking powder
- ¾ tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. coarse salt
- 2 medium ripe bananas (about 1 cup) INCLUDED IN FULL FARM BOX
- ½ cup dark brown sugar
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 2 medium carrots, shredded (about 1 ½ cups) INCLUDED IN FARM BOX
- 1 medium apple, shredded or diced (about 1 ½ cups) INCLUDED IN FARM BOX
Streusel:
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
- ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together oat flour, almond flour, flax seed, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- In another medium bowl, use a hand mixer to whisk together bananas, brown sugar and oil until fluffy. Whisk in egg, then vanilla extract until thoroughly combined. Slowly add dry ingredients to the banana mixture while whisking on medium speed, just until combined. Fold in shredded carrot and apple. Pour mixture into the loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, whisk together streusel ingredients. Evenly coat top of bread batter with the streusel mixture. Bake for 50-55 minutes, until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool, then slice and serve.

Pumpkin Tomato Autumn Soup
Healthy Light Ingredients:
1 can organic pumpkin plain puree (not pie mix)
2-3 cups unsalted bone broth, chicken stock
3-4 stalks celery
1 lb of heirloom cherry tomatoes, crushed
1 tablespoon coconut oil
Optional: root veggies, onion, carrots, apples, turnips, beets, sweets, broccoli, sweet peppers
By-the-Bowl Topping Added Benefits:
lemon pepper, seasalt, ¼ teaspoon organic apple cider vinegar, Cayenne hot sauce to taste, Greek Yogurt
Directions: (If you want creamy soup use almond milk rather than bone broth.)
Roast veggies in pan with coconut oil and water on 375 degrees for 30 minutes until soft. Pour pumpkin in soup pot with bone broth and mix; then heat on medium heat, and turn off. Add veggies with any broth water included. Serve with seasonings by bowl.

3 Ingredient HeirloomTomato Sauce
Heirloom Tomatoes INCLUDED IN BOX
Ingredients

Method
In a large pot add all ingredients over medium/low heat. Once bubbling start smashing tomatoes with the back of a spoon to help them break down. Allow to cook for 30 minutes, stirring often to avoid scorching. Sauce should be a thick sauce. If it is too thin continue cooking for a few more minutes. If you're planning on adding fresh basil, throw 3-5 leaves into the pot. I prefer to roughly blend mine with a hand wand once finished, but that is optional. Store in an air tight container for up to a week or for future use.
The best way to serve it is tossed with al dente pasta and lots of fresh parmesan cheese.

Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes are the major dietary source of the antioxidant lycopene, which has been linked to many health benefits, including reduced risk of heart disease and cancer. They are also a great source of vitamin C, potassium, folate, and vitamin K.
Organic Gala Apples - According to research, apples may be the most healthful food a person can eat. Benefits may include improving brain health, reducing the risk of stroke, cancer and heart disease.
Greenleaf Lettuce - low in fiber, it has a high water content, making it a refreshing choice during hot weather. ---anti-inflammatory properties that help in controlling inflammation. ---lettuce possesses anxiolytic (antianxiety) properties. --small amounts of energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates, dietary fiber, and sugars. The minerals and vitamins found in it include calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and zinc along with B-vitamins like thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folate, vitamin B6, and vitamin C, A, E, and vitamin K.
Beets - remedy to activate liver enzymes and increase bile, which helps the liver's detox function. It's high in betalains and other compounds that have been shown to reduce inflammation, protect against oxidative stress and reduce the risk of liver damage.
Sweet White Corn- Besides helping with weight loss, the insoluble fiber in corn feeds good bacteria in your gut, which aids in digestion and helps keep you regular. Throw in a healthy amount of B vitamins, plus iron, protein and potassium, and you've got one sweet package.
Green Beans- good source of vitamin C, dietary fiber, folate, vitamin K and silicon (needed for healthy bones, skin, and hair).
