Hey Mama!

Smart phones can be a blessing and a curse.

Your phone is a way to stay connected to the outside world during the isolating days of new parenthood. It's how we talk to grandparents and cousins thousands of miles away. It's how we navigate to playdates and look up support groups and get answers from Facebook groups at all hours of the night.

But it can also become a distraction. The minutiae of raising tiny humans isn't as interesting as the articles/pictures/videos on our phones. We can start to watch our kids and their lives through an Instagram filter instead of staying present in that moment.

And I'm 100% guilty of all of this!

That's why it's taken me 2 YEARS to finally run this challenge - because *I* didn't want to do it. 😬

But starting tomorrow, we'll spend about 5 minutes a day for 5 days building better boundaries around our phone use. It's not unreasonable expectations like quitting completely or anything drastic. You choose your own goals based on what you need for your life.
