Venison Dealer Licenses Further to the report regarding venison dealer investigations being stepped in the last E-Scope, a map showing those holding Venison Dealer Licenses has now been made available. This map is from last year and some Local Authorities had not presented their VDL returns to SNH in time for inclusion, but it gives an important indication of the geographical spread (and absence) of VDLs. If processing deer carcases please consider your situation, the need for a VDL, and contact your Local Authority for information. SNH has also offered to assist by checking the details of your license, contact Andy Turner andy.turner@nature.scot The University of the Highlands and Islands’ (UHI) postgraduate module in Sustainable Deer Management This module starts again on 27 January 2020 and is available through the MSc in Sustainable Mountain Development, as well as being a standalone module for those wishing to take the course as part of their continuing professional development (CPD). The fully online module starts on 27 January and is delivered over 15 weeks. Students should allow at least 10 hours of study time per week. Further information If you decide later that you would like to apply for the full MSc course, then this 20-credit module will count towards it.
