All School Announcements

Lost and Found
The lost and found has become more lost than found! Please check for your things. We will donate unclaimed items at the end of the day on Friday, November 22nd (before Thanksgiving break) and again on Friday, December 13th (after FAIR).

School Lunch Delivery
The test run with Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh has concluded. While there was not enough interest to pursue adding Garbanzo to our Wholesome Foods delivery service, Wholesome Food Service has added two new vendors, Tokyo Joe’s and Noodles & Company. Starting the week of November 18th, lunch is now available through Wholesome Foods every day of the school week. Please use this link to place your orders and this link for general Wholesome Food Service information. Our delivery schedule is now:

Monday: California Pizza Kitchen
Tuesday: P.F. Chang's
Wednesday: Noodles & Company
Thursday: Tokyo Joe's
Friday: California Pizza Kitchen

Middle School Announcements

Wednesday, December 4th: The 6/7 Expedition will be off campus from 10:30a to 3:10p. We will be visiting the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery to see the Black Footed Ferret exhibition. Students will miss advisory and community meeting and should plan to bring a bagged lunch.

High School Announcements

Wednesday, November 20th: The Cinema History and Literacy class is headed to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. As part of a weeklong exploration of animation, students will tour the Science of Pixar exhibit with the hopes of getting a solid grasp of computer animation. Students need to be on time Wednesday morning, the buses will depart Watershed shortly after 8:10a. They will return during the lunch hour before Community Meeting.

Michael Vladeck’s “Raising the Heart of Boys” presentation from last week is now available on audio via this link for anyone who might be interested.

Mother Daughter Workshop
Local therapist, Deb Rubin, is offering a Mother/Daughter workshop on December 7th from 1-4p at the Vali Soul Sanctuary in Boulder. For more information or to register please click here.

Upcoming Parent Education evening at Watershed School:
Monday, January 13th from 6-7:30p
Join Ana Swoboda from Alternatives for Youth. This will be a drug and alcohol awareness and education for parents of teens.

Upcoming event open to the public:
The Annual Stress and Anxiety Symposium is coming up in January 2020 and is open to the public.

Math Moments

Our math classes are unlike any other math classes so we want to highlight their work in our new Math Moments section! Keep an eye out for updates!

Algebra 2 is currently in the middle of a two week project. The goal is to use quadratic equations to model the path of an object that is tossed into the air. Once these equations are established, students will be able to find the gravitational constant on Earth. These photos show our large graph that was setup in the gym and a ball being tossed with the grid behind it.

Beleza Coffee Cards
We are very excited to announce that we are now offering Beleza Coffee Cards! Like our Pekoe cards, they are $25 a piece and available for purchase at the front desk. Every card sold is a $5 donation to Watershed. Thank you for your support!
